ABOUT EMMA
Emma Davidson is an art-forward, documentary/editorial photographer. Her work has a special focus on natural light.
Hi, I'm Emma. I'm a photographer based in Windsor, Ontario and I tell stories in photographs.
People are the reason I do what I do. This job takes me into people's homes where I'm surrounded by their culture, their families and their stories. Instead of working a series of poses with everyone to create trendy images, my goal is to learn who you are, truly get to know you so I can create art that is unique to you.
Some of my clients have turned into the best of friends while others have been just for a season but I love it all. Each and every once of you have a beautiful story to tell.
I've been asked a number of times if I'm a moody photographer or a light and airy photographer. The simple answer is neither. My goal when taking your photos is to tell the story of what really happened. If the sun was shining, let it shine! If the sky came in darkness, I'll be there for it. True to life, true to real colours, true to your day.
When I'm not working, you can find me with my family. I have an 11 year old son, a nine year old daughter and my husband who truly is my greatest supporter. We live in a little house on a quiet street with a wood porch. This is where I like to sit in the morning light with my coffee and a book while my dog Jack lays down beside me.
Storytelling is an art and I would love to tell yours.
