If you've been following along on social media, you may have already spotted these two lovely faces. When planning an engagement session, I like to do my best to incorporate who people are as a couple. It brings so much more meaning to their set of photos!
Jared & Brittney met at Villains Beastro almost four years ago and wanted to pay tribute to that night by going back for their engagement photos. On the night they met, they were both out with different friends and those friends happened to know one another, so they all sat together for a couple of beers. Brittney was hungry and Jared offered to buy her some poutine. They had their first poutine together at the little bistro table you see below! They hung out all night and Brittney sang karaoke. Jared offered to buy her Mexican food if she sang an Eminem song... and she did! In Brittney's words, "He bought my love with food!"
For their engagement shoot we explored downtown. They both agree that you don't need a fancy background to make great photos. Sometimes the most beautiful things are unexpected. Even the overcast evening lended itself to their laid back style. Our last stop was their home in Windsor so we could include their beautiful pup Mika. Mika means the world to them!
Can't wait to celebrate this genuine couple in October when they say their i-do's in the Water's Edge White Room! It's going to be amazing.
Our cities and urban areas leave us with a boundless amount of photographic opportunity that you are likely missing out on. I love parks don't get me wrong, but most of our stories aren't told surrounded by flowers. Who are you? What makes you tick? What made you fall in love with your significant other? I'm betting it's not a field of flowers or a mountain on the other side of the world (although it if is, kudos!). |

Are you looking for engagement, wedding or elopement photos? I'd love to hear from you!
