I love this quote by Annie Leibovitz, "When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph." I met with Meagan for coffee a year before their wedding and while we were taking I remember thinking to myself, I want to know her. I've always been fascinated by interesting people. Sometimes interesting means intelligent, sometimes it means quirky or out of the ordinary. In Meagan, it meant smart and empowering. I was excited when she chose me to be her wedding photographer. I met T.J. at their engagement session and was even more interested. They're a couple who want to better their community, and better themselves with more understanding. And no one can make Meagan laugh like T.J.; they're also adorable together!
Their wedding was one of my favourites from last season. It was full of colour, it was fashionable, but it was also different from the typical wedding because they made it their own. They changed their ceremony to make it meaningful to them and they shook things up for me too by rearranging their timeline. But I loved it. A real live, modern truth-sayer couple.
I usually try and keep the photos to a certain number in a post, but it was hard to tell their story in condensed form so I hope you stick through the post until the end. At the bottom you'll find their vendors, some kind words from them and some photos of their Flush Mount Wedding Album.
Congratulations Meagan & T.J.; happy I know you!

Kind Words
"We could not have chosen a better photographer to work with.
Of course, Emma is a very talented artist. Her use of natural light, her creativity,
and her ability to organically capture the most meaningful moments of our wedding day was brilliant.
She bridges the gap between modernity and traditionalismin a way that is unparalleled
by any other Windsor-based photographer we’ve seen.
Her photographs will certainly stand the test of time.
Beyond her work, Emma was charming, professional, honest, laid back,
accommodating, and demonstrated a genuine commitment to us as a couple.
From our initial consultation, it felt like we were getting to know a new friend.
We highly recommend hiring Emma for your wedding day, or any other important occasion
that you want to remember forever. You won’t be disappointed."
